Telehealth
Telehealth therapy in Florida
All sessions are delivered via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You must be physically located in Florida at the time of your session — telehealth doesn't change state licensure rules.
What you need
- A private space where you can speak freely
- A stable internet connection
- Headphones if privacy is a concern
- A laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone
On a computer, you join in your web browser with nothing to install. On a phone or tablet, you use the free Telehealth by SimplePractice app. You'll receive a unique session link before each appointment.
Safety and emergencies
This practice is not an emergency service. If you need immediate help, call or text 988. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Why telehealth works for therapy
Continuity through transitions
Travel within Florida, a temporary move, or a busy work schedule doesn't have to interrupt care. As long as you're physically in Florida and in a private setting, sessions hold.

No commute. No waiting room. The energy you'd spend getting to a session goes into the session.
HIPAA-compliant infrastructure
Sessions run on SimplePractice's HIPAA-compliant video. Once you're an established client, scheduling, secure messaging, and intake forms also run through SimplePractice.
Location requirement
Telehealth sessions are available only to clients who are physically located in Florida at the time of the session. State licensing rules decide where I can provide care, and right now I practice only in Florida. If you regularly travel out of state during scheduled session times, we'll need to discuss the implications before starting care.
